Biography
David was born in Hackney in 1968. He is an actor, singer and writer and has performed
extensively in theatre and cabaret. Recent credits include the part of Billy in 'Little Voice' for the
Oxford Stage Company, various lead roles on screen for the International Film Institute, among
others and solo appearances in concert.
A life long fan of Anthony Newley, David felt little was being done to represent the talent of one
of Britain’s greatest living entertainers.
Together with his brother, David began writing a script about the genius of Anthony Newley.
Once written a director was needed, and so with the help of Jeremy Stockwell as director, Anna
Von Der Lohe on movement and Andrew Hilton as musical director, the show of the life Anthony
Newley was born.
